From the moment a child needs emergency shelter to the years of support that follow, here's how we work.
Emergency & Transitional Shelter
When a child is removed from an unsafe home or found without care, they need somewhere safe immediately. Our shelter program provides supervised, temporary housing while we assess each child's situation and plan next steps.
- Immediate safe housing, food, and basic needs
- Medical screening and referral for care
- Trauma-informed support from trained caregivers
- Coordination with local child protection authorities
Family Reunification & Foster Care
Whenever it's safe, we believe a child belongs with family. We work with parents, extended family, and local authorities to resolve the issues that led to a child's removal — and support safe, supervised reunification.
- Family assessment and safety planning
- Support and counseling for parents and guardians
- Vetted, supported foster placements where reunification isn't possible
- Ongoing follow-up after a child returns home
Education & Psychosocial Support
A stable childhood includes school and support for healing. We help children enroll in and stay in school, and connect them with counseling to process what they've experienced.
- School enrollment support and school-supply assistance
- Tutoring and catch-up learning support
- Individual and group trauma-informed counseling
- Mentorship for older children and teens
Community Outreach & Child Protection Training
The best case is one that never becomes an emergency. We train caregivers, teachers, and community members to recognize the warning signs of abuse and neglect early, and to know how to respond.
- Child protection workshops for parents and caregivers
- Teacher and school-staff training
- Community awareness campaigns
- A clear, safe pathway for reporting concerns
