Nairobi, Kenya
Every child deserves a safe place to call home.
Kenya ChildSafe Homes Initiative shelters, protects, and cares for vulnerable children in Nairobi — and works to reunite families and prevent harm before it happens.
Our Mission
To give every vulnerable child in Nairobi a safe home, a protective family, and a real chance at a healthy childhood.
Kenya ChildSafe Homes Initiative works with families, local authorities, and community volunteers to protect children from abuse, neglect, and exploitation. We provide emergency shelter for children in crisis, support safe family reunification and foster placements, and help children stay in school and heal from what they've been through.
We believe the safest place for a child is within a loving family — so alongside direct care, we invest heavily in prevention: training caregivers and community members to recognize warning signs early, before a child is ever in danger.

Principles that guide every placement
Child-first decisions
Every choice we make starts with what keeps a specific child safest.
Family, where safe
We prioritize reunification and kinship care over institutional placement whenever it's safe to do so.
Work with authorities
We coordinate closely with local child protection authorities on every case.
Prevention over crisis
Community training reduces how many children ever need emergency care.
Your support keeps a home safe.
